Quilt Exhibits:

Journey of a Traditional Quilter, Quilts by Nancy Mahoney

This exhibit features quilts that represent Nancy Mahoney’s 35 years of making traditional quilts. The quilts range from her first quilt juried into a national show to pieces of today. Included in this exhibit are quilts that have been featured on the covers of many magazines, as well as award-winning quilts. See how Nancy’s quilts have evolved over the last 35 years.

General registration begins on this site April 16 through August 19, 2019, at 4:00 p.m.

AQS Pop-Up Quilt Exhibit on Friday at Noon

Join Show Director Bonnie Browning and Director of Education Liz Hammonds for the AQS QuiltWeek Pop-Up Quilt Exhibit.

AQS QuiltWeek is about bringing quilters together to share ideas and inspiration, and we think a great way to do that is to feature YOUR quilts at the Grand Rapids AQS QuiltWeek. Here’s how you can join us and become part of the show:

  • Meet Bonnie and Liz at the AQS Learning Center (at the back of the exhibit hall) at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019.
  • Bring one of your favorite wallhangings to share (it should be small enough that one person can carry it).
  • Bring a note card with your name, city, state, and quilt title and the technique you used printed on the card.

Come have some fun with us and show off one of your quilts! We will start promptly at 12:00 p.m., so you can get to your 1:00 p.m. classes. It is fun to participate, but you can come and just watch too. We can’t wait to see what you have to share!  Click here for more information on the show
