How to Quilt Beautiful Borders with Our Most Popular Border Stencil

This blog post features a new video, and I hope you enjoy it. It's all about our Stencil #30669, Three Border Assortment, designed by Darlene Epp.

This stencil has been one of our most popular designs for years, and honestly, I think I know why. Back when we traveled to quilt shows almost every week, I tried more than once to convince Bernie to demonstrate a different stencil. But he'd always come right back to this one - and I finally understood why. It showcases nearly everything our stencils can do in one quick demonstration. With three completely different border designs on a single stencil, it offers incredible versatility and value, and Bernie could explain the whole concept to a crowd in about 30 seconds. He was a wonderful salesman, and I know those of you who remember him would agree.

There was something magical about walking into a convention center filled with thousands of quilters who were just as excited to be there as we were. That's another reason the 30-second demo mattered so much - there was always so much to see!

Since we don't travel to many shows these days, I thought I'd bring the demonstration to you. The short video below shows exactly why this stencil became one of our all-time favorites. With three completely different border designs on one stencil, it's a design you'll reach for again and again. Click here to see the video. It's under 5 minutes long.

Keep Quilting, Keep Learning

Sometimes the right stencil is all it takes to turn a simple border into the perfect finishing touch. We hope this demonstration gives you a few new ideas for using the Three Border Assortment, and maybe inspires you to try something you haven't tried before!

Have a quilting question or a stencil you'd like to see demonstrated? Send it our way! Your question may be something other quilters are wondering about too, and it could inspire a future tip, tutorial, or video.

And if you've used the Three Border Assortment, or any Full Line Stencil™ design, on one of your quilts, we'd love to see what you created. Sharing your projects and ideas helps inspire all of us.

Happy quilting!
Marilyn & the Full Line Stencil™ Team
